How to Experience the Great American Solar Eclipse

On Aug. 21, millions of people in the U.S. will see day turn to night as a total solar eclipse passes over North America. This is the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse to sweep the United States in 99 years. It is estimated that as many as 325 million will be able to view it. The rest of us will be treated to a partial solar eclipse. A lot of excitement is already brewing in the media and we want to make sure you are prepared.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology has teamed up with the American Astronomical Society to offer tips on how to view a solar eclipse safely.  For more information, please view the printable infographic.
